IMD Alert: Yellow alert for heavy rain in 22 states till May 27, Know the condition of your state

IMD Alert: According to the Meteorological Department, on May 23, rain activity will be seen in New Delhi. In New Delhi, the minimum temperature can be recorded at 27 degrees Celsius while the maximum can be recorded at 47 degrees Celsius.

There is a possibility of light rain in Delhi today, while a forecast of rain has also been issued in the western part of Uttar Pradesh. From today the Western Disturbance is becoming active over the Western Himalayas. Due to which rain will be seen in many areas. In Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal too, rain forecast has been issued between May 23 and May 26.

Rain forecast has been issued in many areas. Thunderstorm and rain warnings have been issued. Rain has been seen in Bihar. In more than 22 states, an alert has been issued for rain, thunderstorm and lightning. Significant changes will be seen in the weather in Uttar Pradesh district from today. There will be a drop in temperature. Along with this, the period of drizzle will also start.

Weather alert

According to the Meteorological Department, on May 23, rain activity will be seen in New Delhi. In New Delhi, the minimum temperature can be recorded at 27 degrees Celsius while the maximum can be recorded at 47 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of light rain in Delhi today, while a forecast of rain has also been issued in the western part of Uttar Pradesh. From today the Western Disturbance is becoming active over the Western Himalayas. Due to which rain will be seen in many areas. At the same time, a forecast of rain has been issued in Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal between May 23 and May 26.

System effect

With the melting of winter snow, the green spaces of Jammu and Kashmir will once again witness snowfall in the month of May. Rain activity can be seen in the Western Himalayan region. Rain in hill states

Heavy rain will be seen in different parts of Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a possibility of rain from 64 mm to 115 mm. On Tuesday, rain with hailstorm was also forecast in Himachal, while there will be significant changes in the weather in Uttarakhand, warning of thunderstorm and heavy rain has been issued.

Thunderstorm accompanied with strong wind blowing at a speed of 50 to 60 km per hour has been forecast in different areas of Uttarakhand on Wednesday and Thursday. Some drop in temperature will also be seen. Issuing advisory, the Meteorological Department has advised people to be cautious. There an alert has been issued. On the other hand, Orange Alert has been issued in Himachal on 26 and 27 May. Issuing at the district level, Orange Alert has been issued in Himachal’s Chamba Kumbh Kullu Kangra Bilaspur Solan Sirmaur and Shimla while Yellow Alert warning has been issued in other areas.

Here the southwest monsoon season is more than 1 month away. In such a situation, the forecast of rain has been expressed once again uniformly in the whole of North India. People will get relief from the scorching heat. According to the India Meteorological Department, a fresh Western Disturbance will move west today and its effect will be seen for the next 3 days.

Heavy rain alert in Haryana Punjab Rajasthan

According to meteorological factors, rain activity will be seen over Western Himalayan region along with neighboring North Western Plains from May 23 to 26. Wind will blow at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour at many places in Punjab Haryana Chandigarh Delhi. Along with this, the forecast of storm has been expressed. While issuing a warning with thunder, a warning of heavy rain has also been issued at one or two places. On Thursday, some parts of Haryana and North Rajasthan may see hailstorm with rain, whereas from Tuesday to Thursday many parts of Rajasthan will see dust storm and storm.

The capital will see a drop in temperature above 40 degree Celsius. The same temperature can drop up to 8 degree Celsius. The same rain warning has been issued in Gurgaon as well. The minimum temperature in the capital of Uttar Pradesh can be 25 degree Celsius today. It will be partly cloudy in Lucknow. A series of rains can be seen from May 24. A slight drop in temperature will be recorded. The same Ghaziabad will record a drop in minimum temperature. The process of rain is about to start.

Orange alert in West Bengal
Orange alert has been issued in West Bengal. An orange alert was issued forecasting heavy rains in West Bengal from May 23 to 27. People have been advised to be cautious. While rain activity has started in many areas of Bihar.

Heavy rain in patna

Heavy rains have been seen in Patna, while this process is going to continue for 7 days. For the time being, there will be relief in the weather. Thunderstorm and hailstorm were also predicted along with light rain. Rain activity has also been recorded in Patna Vaishali Samastipur Darbhanga Madhepura Saharsa Muzaffarpur Motihari. The maximum temperature that can be recorded in Bhagalpur is 36 degree Celsius. On the other hand, the process of rain will start in Bhagalpur today, which can be seen till May 26.

Rain in eastern states

According to the Meteorological Department, rain can be seen on the southern coast of Orissa including East Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura today. Thunderstorm with moderate rain has been forecast in these areas. Electrical warnings have been issued. People have been advised to stay safe in the eastern region. A drop of 5 degrees can be seen in the maximum temperature.

Rain warning in southern state

Moderate rains will be seen in many parts of Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh along with south rate of Orissa. The pre-estimation of thunder and lightning has been given. Light rain may be seen along with Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Weather system

Southwest Monsoon has been predicted to pass through the northern boundary of Nankari. Conditions remain favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into most parts of Bay of Bengal, Hanuman Sagar, Andaman and Nicobar Islands during 2 days.
A fresh and active Western Disturbance with moisture supply from the Arabian Sea will affect North India from May 23 onwards, with heavy rains expected over the region.
Under the influence of southerly warm and moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal, strong wind accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected over Assam and Meghalaya during the next 2 days, along with widespread rain.

Weather alert

  • Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya.
    Thunderstorm accompanied with dust storm, lightning and strong winds (speed reaching 40-50 kmph) is likely to affect Rajasthan.
  • Lightning and gusty wind (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) very likely at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand. There is a possibility of splashing with thunder.
  • Heavy rain very likely at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
  • Rainfall warning in Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe has been issued.
  • Hailstorm, lightning and squall (wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph) very likely at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal.
  • Thunderstorm and lightning very likely at isolated places over Coastal and North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
  • Heat wave condition may persist in different areas of Jharkhand
