The weather department has issued an immediate alert on Thursday afternoon and warned of thunderstorms and rain along with lightning in some places in 13 districts including Patna, Gaya, Begusarai. The weather is expected to remain bad in the state for the next 3-4 days.

Bihar Weather Today: The weather has deteriorated once again in Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued an immediate yellow alert in 13 districts of the state including Patna, Gaya, Begusarai, Samastipur and has predicted thunderstorm, rain and lightning on Thursday evening. Strong winds are expected at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in these districts. Along with this, there is also a danger of light rain and thunderstorms at some places.

In the yellow alert issued by the Meteorological Department on Thursday afternoon, people of Patna, Samastipur, Bhojpur, Gaya, Aurangabad, Nalanda, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Jamui, Munger, Begusarai and Khagaria districts have been advised to be cautious. People have been appealed to immediately take shelter from open places to concrete houses if the weather turns bad. Maintain distance from tall trees and electric poles. Farmers have been instructed not to go to the fields during storm and rain.

According to the forecast of Patna Meteorological Center, the weather is likely to remain bad in Bihar for the next 3-4 days. During this time, hailstorm is also expected in the districts of South and East Bihar. Till March 23, activities of storm, rain and lightning will continue in some parts of South Bihar, Kosi, Seemanchal and North Bihar.
