Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema and the northeastern region. Heavy rains are expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura.

Rainfall Alert: Monsoon has bid farewell to many states of the country, while in some places monsoon is still active. Yellow alert for heavy rain

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Puducherry, Karaikal and coastal Karnataka. Rayalaseema, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh are also likely to receive sporadic to moderate rains today. The IMD has said that winds can blow at a speed of 35-45 kmph till October 11.

Weather update for Delhi

For northwest, west, east and central India, the weather department has not predicted any rain and the weather will remain normal. The sky will be partly cloudy in Delhi and the maximum temperature of the day is likely to reach 35 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature of the day is likely to be 23 degrees Celsius.

Withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon is soon bidding farewell to Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. While monsoon has already bid farewell to many parts of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

Chances of torrential rains in the Northeast

The Meteorological Department says that this week, heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in the northeastern states, especially Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today. Strong winds can also blow here.

Warning for fishermen

The Meteorological Department said that during October 8 to 11, strong winds with wind speeds of 35 kmph to 45 kmph are likely in Maldives, Lakshadweep Comorin areas, many parts of South-East Arabian Sea, Calangute and Kerala, Karnataka coasts, Gulf of Mannar. Therefore, fishermen are advised not to go to these areas.
