IMD i.e. Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Konkan, Goa, South Central Maharashtra and coastal interior Karnataka on Monday, June 10. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Sindhudurg in Maharashtra. At the same time, an orange alert has been issued for Ratnagiri. Yellow alert has been issued for Palghar, Thane, Mumbai and Raigad.

It usually arrives by June 11, an IMD official said on Sunday, but last year it arrived on June 24 due to cyclone ‘Biparjoy’ over the Arabian Sea. IMD said, ‘Mumbai is expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms. Neighbouring areas like Raigad and Ratnagiri are more likely to receive excessive rainfall.

Part of the building collapsed

Two people died after a part of a five-storey under-construction building collapsed in Mumbai. Municipal corporation officials gave this information on Monday. A municipal corporation official said that the accident took place at Kailash Business Park in Vikhroli area at 11.10 pm on Sunday night. The official said that heavy rains lashed many parts of Mumbai on Sunday night.
