Mausam Samachar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a change in the weather from North to South India in its latest forecast. According to the IMD, snowfall may be seen in the hilly states in the coming days. Due to this, the temperature will drop. At the same time, stormy weather with heavy rain and thunderstorms has been predicted in many parts of South India, especially Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal on Saturday i.e. 7 December. It is likely to gradually move towards west-northwest and reach the southwest Bay of Bengal near Sri Lanka by December 12.
The Meteorological Department has said that due to this, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will receive rain on December 11 and 12. At the same time, heavy rains are also expected in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema on December 12.

– December 7: Light to moderate rain is expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
– December 11: Heavy rains are expected in Tamil Nadu’s Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukottai and Ramanathapuram districts as well as Karaikal.
– 12 December: Heavy rains may occur in Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukottai and Ramanathapuram districts, Puducherry and Karaikal.
The Meteorological Department says that a new western disturbance is likely to become active in the western Himalayan region and the plains of northwest India from December 8. Due to this, light to moderate rain and snowfall may occur in many states. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and western Uttar Pradesh on 8-9 December.
Fog and cold alert
According to the new report of the Meteorological Department, dense fog may prevail in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh from 7 to 10 December. Cold wave may be seen in northern Rajasthan on 10-12 December. Talking about the states of North-East and Eastern India, dense fog may prevail in the morning in the areas of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar and Siliguri.
IMD has suggested people and administration in the concerned areas to remain alert and ensure safety measures. Fishermen, especially in coastal areas, have been advised not to venture into the sea. Farmers and local residents should also be alert for waterlogging and possible damage.
