The heat is increasing in a large part of the country including the capital Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in 12 states. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and hailstorm may occur in Bihar and Jharkhand. There are chances of rain in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the south. Light rain with strong winds may occur in some districts of Bihar.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued ‘orange’ and ‘yellow’ alerts for several districts of Telangana, warning them of thunderstorms, hailstorms and strong winds till the morning of March 24.

The IMD also forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places in Telangana between 5.30 pm on Friday and 8.30 am on March 24. According to a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to remain alert and take necessary steps to prevent any loss of life and property.

The Meteorological Department says that by the beginning of April, there will be a need to run ACs and coolers in North and Western India. The effect of heatwave is already visible in some areas of Maharashtra. Western disturbance is active in Madhya Pradesh. Its effect can be seen up to the Himalayan regions. There may be light drizzle at some places in the mountains. In the last 24 hours, light rain has been recorded at some places in West Bengal, East Madhya Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar. At the same time, light to moderate snowfall may occur in the hilly areas of Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain may also occur in some districts of South East Uttar Pradesh, East Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.

Talking about Uttarakhand, the heat is increasing in the plains. The heat is increasing due to strong sunlight throughout the day. At the same time, light rain is expected in the mountainous regions. The weather will remain dry and clear for the next few days. The weather in the mountains may change due to western disturbance on March 24.
