The cyclonic circulation associated with it extends up to the mid-troposphere. It may move towards west-northwest direction during the next 2 days. It is likely to remain intense for the next 24 hours and then gradually weaken. Due to this, there are chances of heavy rains in the areas.
At the same time, a new western disturbance can affect the western Himalayan region from the night of 7 December and the plains of North-West India from 8 December. Due to this, light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected in the western Himalayan region from 7-9 December. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected in some areas of North-West India on 8 December.
