Alert issued regarding rain in Tamil Nadu

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Virudhunagar, Ramanathapuram, Madurai, Sivagangai, Theni and Dindigul of Tamil Nadu. Apart from this, light rain may occur at some places with thunderstorms and storms in other districts.

Possibility of rain in Karnataka and Kerala too

If we talk about Karnataka, there may be light rain with strong winds in Uttara Kannada, Shimoga, Udupi, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Mysore, Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada. At the same time, there may be heavy rains in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Palakkad and Thrissur of Kerala. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding thunderstorm and rain.
