According to the latest updates from the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of South Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during next 2 days. Due to this, it may rain in some adjoining areas.

The Meteorological Department has also informed that a Western Disturbance is prevailing over Iran and adjoining areas. At the same time, a cyclone is also formed over Pakistan. It is likely to move towards northwest India between 24 to 26 May. During this, the moisture of the Arabian Sea can also be seen in these areas. Along with this, there is a possibility of strong winds in the northeastern states from the Bay of Bengal.

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain for the next five days. According to the latest updates from IMD, rain is expected in Uttarakhand on May 24 and 25. At the same time, it may rain in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi today. There are chances of rain in western Uttar Pradesh tomorrow. There is a possibility of strong winds in these areas. The wind speed can be 50-60 kmph. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in some areas of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana today.

The Meteorological Department has told that there is a possibility of hailstorm in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana today. Also, hailstorm may occur in Uttarakhand, Western Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan today and tomorrow. The Meteorological Department has also told that there may be heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during the next five days. Due to this, a drop in temperature can be seen.

Due to these rains, maximum temperature may drop by 4-6 degrees over northwest India during the next two days. At the same time, the maximum temperature in East India is expected to drop by 2-4 degrees. The current situation will continue in western India.

There will be drizzle in many districts including Patna of Bihar even today

Drizzle in many districts of the state including Bihar’s capital Patna on Wednesday, while there is a possibility of moderate rain with strong wind in many districts. Hailstorm may also occur in Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Araria and Kishanganj. In Patna, like Tuesday, it will be cloudy and there will be drizzling and the sky will be cloudy. But there is a forecast of heavy rain in Patna on Thursday.

On the other hand, in most of the districts of the state including Patna, there was a significant drop in the maximum temperature on Tuesday as compared to Monday. Patna’s maximum temperature dropped by 7.5 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature of Patna was recorded at 30.5 degrees. On the other hand, Dehri was the hottest city of the state with 42.8 degree Celsius.

Bagaha in West Champaran received the highest rainfall of 66.8 mm in the state. Drizzle occurred at many places in Patna around 10.30 am and then around 11.30 am. There, at 1 o’clock the weather cleared and the sun came out. But there was no bitterness in the sun. The city’s weather remained pleasant as the temperature dropped and there was drizzle.

Hail warning in some districts of Bihar

According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall was recorded at most places in the north-east, several places in the north-central part and one or two places in the north-east. Whereas, the weather in the rest of the state remained generally dry. As per the weather analysis, a cyclonic circulation lies over Bihar & neighborhood up to 1.5 km above mean sea level. Along with this, a trough is passing from Bihar towards Chhattisgarh at 0.9 km above mean sea level.

Due to which, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall will occur at some places in the north and south-east parts of the state, and at one or two places in the south-west and south-central parts of the state. There is also a possibility of hailstorm in some places. At the same time, there is a forecast of a decrease of 2 to 4 degree Celsius in the maximum temperature during the next four days.
