IMD issued forecast of heavy rain and snowfall for 5 days, know the weather condition

Weather Update: There is a forecast of rain and snowfall in many parts of Himachal Pradesh for 5 days. During this period, there is a possibility of rain in the lower hilly and plain areas. Today, light rain may occur at one or two places in the high mountains of the state.

Rainfall Update: Today is the last day of January. The first month of the new year is about to pass and the effect of cold is also decreasing. The temperature has definitely increased in the last few days but it is still cold in the morning and evening. In many areas of North India including Delhi-NCR, people get a lot of relief due to sunshine in the afternoon. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted that it will rain at different places for the next four-five days. Due to this, the temperature can once again fall. There are also chances of snowfall in some areas.

According to IMD, two fresh western disturbances are ready to show their effect in North India. Due to this, it may rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana. It will rain in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan between 3 to 5 February. If we talk about the capital Delhi, today the minimum temperature was recorded at 13.05 degrees Celsius. The sky is expected to remain clear on Friday. The maximum temperature is expected to be 22.19 Celsius. Yesterday’s minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 15.43 Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 25.93 Celsius.

Chances of rain and snowfall for five days in Himachal

There is a forecast of rain and snowfall for 5 days in many parts of Himachal Pradesh. During this time, there is a possibility of rain in the lower hilly and plain areas. Today, light rain may occur at one or two places in the high mountains of the state. On Thursday, Shimla was sunny and lightly cloudy. According to Meteorological Centre Shimla, light to moderate rain and snowfall is forecast at many places on 31 January, 1, 3, 4 and 5 February. There is a possibility of rain in the lower hilly-plain areas. This change in weather will come due to the activity of western disturbance. On 2 February, the weather is expected to be clear in the entire state. During the next 2-3 days, the maximum temperature in many parts of the state is likely to fall by 3-5 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature in some parts is likely to gradually increase by 2-3 degree Celsius. From 1 to 30 January, 82 percent less rain than normal has been recorded in the state. 82.3 mm of rain was considered normal for this period but in reality only 14.7 mm of rain fell.

Relief from cold in Jharkhand, increase in minimum temperature

In most places of Jharkhand, the minimum temperature reached more than 10 degrees Celsius within the last 24 hours, which has brought relief from cold in the state. The minimum temperature is likely to increase further in the next few days. Abhishek Anand, in-charge of Ranchi Meteorological Center, said, ‘The minimum temperature may increase by up to 4 degrees Celsius in the next 2 days. After this, the temperature is expected to remain stable for the next two days. He said that the weather is expected to remain dry in the state for the next 5-7 days. The sky is likely to remain partially cloudy till January 31. This will not have any significant effect on the temperature and the maximum temperature may also increase from February 1. The minimum temperature in Chatra was recorded at 8.9 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the minimum temperature in most parts of the state was more than 10 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The minimum temperature in the capital Ranchi was recorded at 12.2 degrees Celsius.

Chilla-e-Kalan period ends in Kashmir, rain expected

The 40-day Chilla-e-Kalan, considered the harshest period of winter in Kashmir, ended with sunshine on Thursday. Along with this, there is a hope of rain due to cloudy weather at the end of the day. Chilla-e-Kalan (the period of the coldest) started on December 21. Snowfall is most likely during the 40-day period of Chilla-e-Kalan. On the very first day of Chilla-e-Kalan this winter, the mercury in Srinagar dropped to minus 8.5 degrees Celsius, breaking a 50-year-old record. On Wednesday, there was light snowfall in the high altitude areas of North Kashmir. On Thursday evening, the sky was overcast in the rest of the valley, raising the hope of snowfall or rain at night. A spokesperson of the Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at minus 1.5 degrees Celsius. The night temperature in Pahalgam in South Kashmir was minus 5.5 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Gulmarg was recorded at minus 7.6 degrees Celsius.
