IMD issued heavy rain alert for these states, know the weather across the country

According to the Meteorological Department, an orange alert for heavy rain has been issued in Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Uttarakhand today i.e. on August 13. At the same time, a warning of moderate to heavy rain has been issued in Delhi till August 16.

Torrential rains continue in the country, due to which flood-like conditions have arisen in many states and people are facing a lot of problems. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains in Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Uttarakhand today i.e. on August 13.

Delhi weather

Heavy rains continue in Delhi-NCR, due to which waterlogging has occurred in many areas of the capital. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of moderate to heavy rain in Delhi till August 16. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi can remain between 31 to 33 degree Celsius this whole week and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 26 to 27 degree Celsius.

Weather condition of the country

According to weather forecast agency Skymet, today light to moderate rains with heavy rains may occur in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi, East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, parts of Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Jharkhand, Northeast India, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and interior parts of South Karnataka.

At the same time, waterlogging is expected at some places in eastern Rajasthan. Light to moderate rain is possible in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Vidarbha, South interior Karnataka, Goa, coastal Karnataka, coastal Maharashtra, East Gujarat, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Apart from this, light rain is possible in Ladakh, western parts of Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra, South Telangana, North interior Karnataka.

Weather activities of the country

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the monsoon trough at mean sea level is now extending through Sri Ganganagar, Delhi, Gwalior, Daltonganj, Digha and from there east-southeast wards to the northeastern Bay of Bengal. At the same time, the cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan and adjoining areas extends up to 7.6 km above sea level, which is tilting towards southwest with height.

Apart from this, a trough line from this cyclonic circulation extends up to 3.1 km above sea level through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to Bangladesh. A cyclonic wind area remains over northeast Assam. An offshore trough remains at sea level along the Maharashtra Karnataka coast.
