According to the official website of the Kerala government, a yellow alert has been issued on August 1 in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod of the state. Apart from this, there is a yellow alert in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod on August 2. According to the agency, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu of South India may also face showers on Thursday.

IMD i.e. India Meteorological Department had told on Wednesday night that there are chances of heavy rain at some places in West Madhya Pradesh till August 4, Gujarat till August 2, Chhattisgarh and Marathwada till August 3, Vidarbha till August 4, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan till August 4, Uttar Pradesh on August 2 and 3, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh on August 2, North West Rajasthan, Delhi till August 1.
