According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), on August 7, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura may receive very heavy rainfall of more than 12 cm.

Weather update: Monsoon rains will wet most states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu this week. IMD i.e. India Meteorological Department has expressed such possibilities on Wednesday. During this time, strong winds can also blow along with thunder. However, states like Maharashtra, Delhi, which have faced very heavy rains, are also expected to get some relief.

According to IMD, on August 7, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura may receive very heavy rains, which may be more than 12 cm.

At the same time, there are chances of heavy rains in Jammu Division, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh. There are chances of thunderstorms and lightning in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand.

How will the weather be this week

There is a possibility of rain this week (7 to 13 August) in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Konkan, Goa, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Saurashtra, Kutch, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim.

Whereas, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana and Rayalaseema are expected to receive rain during the next 5 days.
