According to the IMD report, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, South Madhya Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Odisha may receive light to moderate rain on March 24. There is a possibility of rain in Karnataka on March 24 and 25, while intermittent rain may continue in Kerala and Mahe from March 24 to 27. There have been reports of hailstorm in some parts of Telangana, Odisha and Arunachal Pradesh. At the same time, thunderstorm conditions persist in Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam-Meghalaya.
Western disturbance active in Himalayan region
According to the Meteorological Department, the Western Disturbance is becoming active, which may cause rain in the Western Himalayan region till March 27. Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad may receive light to moderate rain and thunderstorms between March 24-27. Rain is expected in Himachal Pradesh during March 25-27 and in Uttarakhand during March 26-27. Heavy rain and snowfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and surrounding areas on March 26.
Signs of change in temperature
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in the plains of North-West India may increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next two days, but after that it may fall by 2-3 degrees. Temperatures may increase by 4-6 degrees Celsius in Uttar Pradesh. The maximum temperature is likely to increase by 4-6 degrees Celsius in West and North-East India during the next 4-5 days, while Central India and interior Maharashtra may increase by 2-4 degrees. There will be no significant change in Gujarat in the next 24 hours, but after that the temperature may fall by 2-3 degrees.
Heat likely to increase in Delhi
The weather will remain dry and the temperature will increase in Delhi-NCR from 24 to 27 March. The maximum temperature on March 24 will be between 35-37 degrees Celsius, while on March 27 it may reach 36-38 degrees Celsius. The temperature is expected to reach 39 degrees Celsius on March 26. During this period, light to moderate winds are likely to blow.

The Meteorological Department has warned of hot and humid weather in some areas. Hot and humid weather is likely in coastal areas of Gujarat on 24 and 25 March, while hot and humid weather is likely in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on 27 and 28 March.
