IMD issues alert of heavy rain for 7 days in these states, know the condition of your city

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rains in Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan between August 23 and August 25. At the same time, moderate to heavy rains can be seen in Delhi between August 24 and 26.

IMD Alert: These days, light to moderate rain is continuing in most states of the country. However, in some states, life has been disrupted due to rain. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of heavy rain in Maharashtra, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan between August 23 and August 25.

Delhi weather

Rain continues in the country’s capital Delhi. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in Delhi on August 23. However, moderate to heavy rain can be seen in Delhi between August 24 and 26. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi can remain between 32 to 35 degree Celsius this whole week and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 25 to 27 degree Celsius.

Weather condition of the country

According to weather forecast agency Skymet, during the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain is possible in Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, Western Assam, West Bengal and parts of Jharkhand. At the same time, light to moderate rain with heavy rain at some places may occur in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Vidarbha, North Andhra Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Konkan, Goa and Lakshadweep.

Apart from this, light to moderate rain is expected in Northeast India, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Marathwada, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman-Nicobar Islands and Telangana. Light rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, western parts of Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Weather activities of the country

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, a low pressure area has formed over the east central Arabian Sea near the Karnataka and Goa coast under the influence of cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep and adjoining areas. At the same time, the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above sea level, which is inclined towards the southwest with height. It is expected to move in the northwest direction during the next 24 hours.

Apart from this, a low pressure area remains in the same area over northern Bangladesh and adjoining areas. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above sea level. It is expected to move westwards towards West Bengal during the next 48 hours.

At the same time, the monsoon trough at mean sea level is now moving towards the Bay of Bengal in the east southeast direction through the center of the low pressure area over Sri Ganganagar, Hisar, Agra, Satna, Ranchi, Bankura, North Bangladesh. A cyclonic circulation is likely to develop over the Bay of Bengal and its adjoining areas around August 24.
