Heavy rain expected in these states till May 20
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for the northeastern states. According to the department, heavy rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the next five days. In Arunachal Pradesh, on 19th and 20th May, while in other states, it is expected to rain daily from today till 20th May. Extremely heavy rain is expected over Assam and Meghalaya on 16, 18 and 19 May.
What is the forecast for North India and Central India?
According to the Meteorological Department, till May 18, there are estimates of dust storm in western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. Apart from this, today i.e. on May 17, there are chances of light rain in North Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, West Delhi and surrounding areas.
During this, winds will blow at a speed of 30 to 35 kmph. The Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of rain in Ghaziabad, Chhapraula, Sonipat, Rohtak, Kharkhoda, Baraut, Baghpat, Meerut, Modinagar in Delhi NCR. Apart from this, it may rain in Kithore, Garhmukteshwar, Pilkhua, Hapur, Siyana, Secunderabad, Bulandshahr, Jahangirabad in UP.
What did meteorologists say about UP?
Looking at the forecasts of the Meteorological Department, it seems that this time Nautpa will not be able to keep warm for nine days. Drizzle and rain is starting in Uttar Pradesh from May 22, which is expected to continue till May 26. According to meteorologist HR Ranjan, the end of May and the beginning of June is the time when the sun’s rays come directly to the earth. Drizzle will start from 22nd May. On May 24, there are chances of rain in entire Uttar Pradesh. This phase is likely to continue till May 26.
Due to rain and strong winds, the heat will reduce and there is a possibility of fall in mercury. According to the forecast of the Zonal Meteorological Center, dusty winds and rains will continue in the state this week. According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, there will be no change in mercury for three days.
If the wind speed decreases, the mercury will rise slowly from 19. The mercury is expected to fall when the rainy season starts around May 23. During this time such a situation will be created due to cyclonic circulation and meeting of east and west winds. Meteorologist HR Ranjan says that this time the monsoon is likely to reach Lucknow around June 25 to 29.
Monsoon may knock in Kerala on June 4
Meteorologists have estimated that this time on June 4, the monsoon may knock in the country. First it will start from Kerala. After this, it will gradually move towards North India. By the last week of June, monsoon may arrive in UP including Delhi NCR.
There have been two different claims regarding the monsoon this year. Skymet Weather had said that this year there will be below normal rainfall and there is a possibility of drought. At the same time, the Indian Meteorological Department has claimed just the opposite.
The Meteorological Department says that this year the monsoon will be normal and it is estimated to be 96 percent (+/-5%). The Meteorological Department has also said that this year there will be 83.7 mm of rain across the country. The department said that El-Nino conditions may prevail around July, but there will be no direct relation of El-Nino with monsoon.
