IMD Rainfall Alert:The weather pattern has changed in most of the states of the country. Light rain and hailstorm have brought relief from the scorching heat. Even before the arrival of monsoon, it is raining heavily in many states. This spell of rain is likely to continue till Friday. Rain has been predicted in all the states including UP, Delhi.
Talking about the states of North West India, there will be light rain, hailstorm etc. till May 26 in the western Himalayan region and its plains. Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, North Rajasthan will receive moderate to heavy rains on May 25. Today itself, there is an alert for hailstorm in Jammu Division, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. Talking about Delhi, a rain alert has been issued for the next three days.
Talking about Northeast India, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura will see light to moderate rains for the next two days. On the other hand, there will be heavy rains in Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram tomorrow. Talking about East India, light to moderate rains will occur over West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and Jharkhand for the next two days. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim will receive heavy rains on May 25 and 26. Hail will fall in West Bengal and Sikkim on 25 May. There is an alert of heavy rain in Gangetic West Bengal on 25 May.
Talking about the weather of the previous day, Vidarbha, South MP, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Gujarat, Southeast Rajasthan, Southeast UP, Jharkhand, Coastal Andhra Pradesh recorded maximum temperature between 40-43 degree Celsius. At the same time, the rest of the place remained below 40 degrees. The maximum temperature in the western Himalayan region was three to five degrees below the average. At the same time, it was recorded three degrees Celsius less than the average in areas of West Bengal, Bihar, North Odisha etc.
