Rainfall Update: The Meteorological Department (IMD) says that the latest satellite imagery shows that light to moderate rain (sometimes heavy rain) is likely at many places with thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places over many states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Northeast Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

Rainfall Alert: By the end of June, monsoon has reached most parts of the country, but some parts of Haryana and Rajasthan are still waiting for monsoon. Despite the arrival of monsoon, many states are facing lack of rain, while rain is wreaking havoc in many states. The states of North India are facing lack of rain. In the country’s capital Delhi too, monsoon has stopped after heavy rain on June 28. However, now the Meteorological Department has once again alerted for heavy rain.

The Meteorological Department says that the latest satellite imagery shows that light to moderate rain (sometimes intense rain) is likely at many places with thunder and lightning at isolated places in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Northeast Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttarakhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh adjoining West Odisha, North Coastal Odisha, Rest of Jharkhand, Vidarbha, North Konkan, Marathwada, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh and West Assam are likely to receive rain till afternoon.

Heavy rain alert in Delhi

Along with this, there is a heavy rain alert in the country’s capital Delhi today (Tuesday). According to IMD, the sky will generally be cloudy in Delhi today and there will be heavy rain. The maximum temperature may also fall today. With a drop of three points, the maximum temperature today was recorded at 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was measured at 27 degrees Celsius.

How will the weather be in Delhi for the whole week?

Let us tell you that according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), this time the month of June in North-West India has been the hottest since 1901. The Meteorological Department said that the average temperature in the north-western states last month was 31.73 degrees Celsius. According to the IMD, the monthly average maximum temperature was recorded at 38.02 degrees Celsius, which is 1.96 degrees Celsius more than normal. At the same time, the average minimum temperature in the month of June was recorded at 25.44 degrees Celsius, which is 1.35 degrees Celsius more than normal.
