IMD Rain Alert: There is a possibility of rain and storm in many states across the country including Uttar Pradesh. This is expected to provide relief from the heat. However, a new round of heat wave is going to come in the areas of Rajasthan and Western Madhya Pradesh between May 8 and 10, while the heat wave will go away from the southern states from today. There may be rain in many states in Eastern and South India till May 11.
Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, heatwave conditions were seen in Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Heavy rain occurred in Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema. Whereas, hail fell in East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Northeast Uttar Pradesh. Yesterday, the highest temperature was recorded in Barmer in western Rajasthan, where it was 45.2 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light to moderate rain in West Bengal, Sikkim between May 8-11, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha between May 8-12. There is a possibility of rain and storm between May 8-12 in East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh. At the same time, there will be rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura during the next seven days. At the same time, hailstorm is expected in the areas of Eastern Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha on May 8 and 9.
Talking about the states of South India, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana are going to receive light to moderate rain between 8-12 May. Warning of thunderstorm and lightning has also been issued. At the same time, a new Western Disturbance is going to hit North-West India tomorrow (May 9), due to which the weather at many places will change.
The Meteorological Department has said that there is going to be light to moderate rain in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh between May 9-12. Hail will fall at many places in Uttarakhand during the next five days. At the same time, there will be light to moderate rain in Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Rajasthan between 10-12 May, and in Uttar Pradesh between 8-12 May.
