IMD Rainfall Alert: According to the weather forecast of India Meteorological Department (IMD), it will be partly cloudy and light drizzle is expected in different areas of the country’s capital Delhi on Wednesday. According to the seven-day weather forecast bulletin issued by the Regional Meteorological Center on Tuesday, Wednesday’s forecast says, “Partly cloudy sky with possibility of drizzle at one or two places.”
What did the meteorological department say?
TOI quoted the weather department as saying, “The temperature will remain slightly lower on March 13-14. But once this western disturbance passes, the maximum temperature will increase. The sky will be clear and there will be no major rain activity, so There will be a natural tendency for the temperature to increase in summer.”
It will remain cloudy till March 16
According to Delhi RMC, the maximum temperature in the country’s capital Delhi on Wednesday is expected to be 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 14 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department estimates that it will be cloudy on March 16. Monday was the hottest day of this season in Delhi, the mercury reached 31.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature a day earlier was 28.4 degrees Celsius.
According to IMD, the minimum temperature recorded in the city on Tuesday was 14.2 degrees Celsius, which is slightly below the seasonal average. Along with this, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recorded the air quality index of 183 in the city at 9 am. Referring to ‘Western Disturbance’, IMD has predicted widespread light to moderate rain in many states of North India and selected areas of the North-Eastern region on Wednesday.
The IMD forecast suggests widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall with isolated incidents of thunderstorm, hail and lightning mainly over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand as well as Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan. There will be moderate rain or snowfall.
According to the IMD bulletin released on Tuesday, apart from this, scattered to light rain is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, North-Western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on Wednesday. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim are expected to receive sporadic light rains till Thursday, with similar rains expected on Saturday also.
