Delhi IMD Rainfall Alert: The temperature in the capital Delhi on Tuesday was three degrees above normal. The Meteorological Department estimates that it will continue to increase for the next two days. However, later due to western disturbance, there will be a change due to light drizzle. Due to strong sunshine in most parts of Delhi on Tuesday, maximum and minimum temperatures increased. The maximum temperature of the day was recorded at Safdarjung weather station at 34.6 degrees Celsius. This is the highest maximum temperature so far this year.
Earlier on March 24, the day’s mercury was recorded at 34.1 degrees Celsius. The day’s maximum temperature remained above 35 degrees in many weather stations like Pitampura, Najafgarh, Ayanagar and Ridge. The night temperature has also increased in the capital. The minimum temperature recorded in Safdarjung on Tuesday was 17.7 degrees Celsius, which is normal temperature. The humidity level ranged from 90 to 26 percent. The Meteorological Department estimates that this heat trend will continue on Wednesday also.
The maximum temperature can be 35 and the minimum temperature can be 18 degree Celsius. Whereas, on Thursday the maximum temperature can reach 36 degrees. At the same time, according to the Meteorological Department, the effect of a western disturbance can be seen on the weather of Delhi from Thursday evening. Due to this, there may be light drizzle in Delhi and surrounding areas. Due to this drizzle accompanied by strong wind, the temperature will drop.
Air quality index remained in moderate category
Due to these weather activities, Delhi’s air continues to remain clean. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average air quality index of Delhi stood at 134 points on Tuesday. The air at this level is kept in the moderate category. This clean level of air is expected to persist during the next two days.
