IMD Rainfall Alert: Storm is going to hit UP-Delhi in the next two hours, there will be heavy rain

IMD Rain Alert: The weather is about to change in the national capital Delhi-NCR. In an update released on Tuesday evening, the Meteorological Department has said that rain and thunderstorms are going to occur in many areas of Delhi-NCR within the next two hours. It is known that for the last several days, there was severe heat in many states of North India including Delhi, due to which it had become difficult to go out of the house during the day.

The Meteorological Department posted on the social media platform X at around 4:15 pm on Tuesday evening, “During the next 2 hours, Delhi’s Burari, Badli, Model Town, Azadpur, Pitampura, Delhi University, Civil Lines, Punjabi Bagh, Kashmiri Gate, Patel Nagar, Buddha Jayanti Park, Delhi Cantt, Safdarjung, Vasant Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, Kalkaji, Tughlakabad, IGNOU, NCR’s Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, Ballabhgarh, Sonipat, Kharkhoda will receive rain and strong winds.” Apart from this, there is an alert of heavy rain and thunderstorm in some places of Hodal in Haryana and Khekra, Secunderabad, Bulandshahr, Shikarpur, Khurja, Pahasu, Nandgaon, Barsana in UP.

Earlier, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Monday was recorded at 44.7 degrees Celsius, which is five degrees more than the average of this season. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information. According to an IMD bulletin, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Sunday was recorded at 42.8 degrees Celsius. Among the various weather stations in Delhi, Najafgarh recorded a temperature of 46.9 degrees Celsius, while Narela recorded a temperature of 46.9 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Aya Nagar in South Delhi was 45.1 degrees, Ridge 44.9 degrees and Palam 44.8 degrees Celsius.

Chances of thunderstorm and light rain in some parts of Rajasthan

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has also informed that due to the effect of a new western disturbance, there are chances of thunderstorm and rain in some parts of Rajasthan in the coming days. Due to the effect of another new western disturbance, there is a possibility of thunderstorm and light rain in some parts of the state during June 5 to 8. During this time, strong winds can suddenly blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour at some places. The heat wave continues in the state. In the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature has been recorded above 45 degrees Celsius in some parts of the state. The highest maximum temperature of 46.5 degrees was recorded in Sri Ganganagar. According to this, there is no possibility of any significant change in temperature in most parts of the state in the coming days.
