The Meteorological Department has issued an IMD Orange Alert till July 5 for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan, Western Madhya Pradesh.

Heavy rain till 6th July

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for very heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya till 4th June, in West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till 5th July, in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and coastal Karnataka from 6th to 7th July.

Good news for farmers in UP

Due to the onset of monsoon and good rains, farmers have also started transplanting paddy. This time the Agriculture Department has set a target of cultivating paddy in an area of ​​more than 61 lakh hectares in UP. Usually paddy is grown in 58 to 59 lakh hectares. The Agriculture Department says that if there was further delay in monsoon now, there would be problems in transplanting paddy. But since June 30, there has been good rain in the state. Therefore, farmers are engaged in transplanting paddy rapidly.
