There is going to be torrential rain and thunderstorm for three days from 24th to 26th March i.e. in Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim. Apart from this, there will be rain in the hilly areas and plains of North India between 26-29 March.
In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain occurred in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim. Apart from this, rain was also seen in states like Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya, Kerala, Mahe etc. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim between March 24-26. At the same time, a warning of light rain and lightning has been issued in Bihar and Jharkhand on March 25.
Due to Western Disturbance, there will be rain in the Western Himalayan region on March 24. During this time, strong winds are also expected in Western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana on March 24. A new western disturbance is coming in the hilly areas from the night of 26 March. Due to this, there will be rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh on March 27 and 28. A warning of storm has also been issued. At the same time, rain alert has also been issued in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan between 26-28 March.
Light rain forecast in Delhi
The minimum temperature in the national capital on Sunday was recorded at 16.9 degrees Celsius and the Meteorological Department has predicted light rain. Humidity was recorded at 70 percent at 8.30 in the morning. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 186 at 9 am, which falls in the moderate category. AQI between zero and 50 is ‘good’, 51 to 100 is ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 is ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 is ‘poor’, 301 to 400 is ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 is ‘good’. The AQI is considered ‘severe’.
