The Meteorological Department has said that there will be heavy to very heavy rains in Northeast India for the next two days. After this, relief is expected. At the same time, heavy rains will be seen in Konkan, Central Maharashtra and coastal Karnataka from July 12-15, Goa for the next five days. Talking about North India, heavy rains are going to be seen in the Himalayan areas from July 11-13 and in eastern UP for the next five days i.e. July 10-14.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be moderate to heavy rain in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Mahe, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Karnataka, Gujarat, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal for the next five days. Along with this, a warning of thunderstorm and lightning has also been issued.
At the same time, there is an alert of heavy rain for the next five days in Andaman and Nicobar, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and Northeast India, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha. Talking about the states of North and Central India, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, East Rajasthan will receive heavy rain for the next five days, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi will receive heavy rain till July 11-13. Heavy rains are expected in eastern UP from 10-14 July, Uttarakhand, western Uttar Pradesh from 10-12 July, Himachal Pradesh from 11-13 July, Jammu from 12 and 13 July, Haryana, northern Punjab from 12 July, eastern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh from 10 and 11 July, Chhattisgarh from 11 to 14 July.
Flood situation in Assam improves marginally, 17 lakh people affected
The flood situation in Assam improved marginally on Wednesday with the water level of major rivers receding. The number of affected people in 26 districts has come down to 17 lakh. This information was given in an official bulletin. However, a large part of many districts is still submerged due to rain. According to the Assam Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), a total of seven people died on Tuesday, with two people dying in Cachar, one each in Dhubri, Dhemaji, South Salmara, Nagaon and Sivasagar. The death toll due to floods, landslides and storms this year has risen to 92, out of which 79 people have died only due to floods. 38,870.3 hectares of agricultural land remained submerged as compared to 49,014.06 hectares on Monday. 3,54045 people are affected by floods in Dhubri district, 1,81,545 in Cachar, 1,36547 in Shivsagar, 1,16,074 in Barpeta and 1,09,475 in Golaghat district. A total of 48,021 affected people have taken shelter in 507 relief camps, while relief materials are being distributed to 104,665 other people living outside the camps.
