The Meteorological Department has said that Maharashtra, coastal and northern Karnataka are going to receive heavy to very heavy rains for the next five days. Apart from this, rain and thunderstorms will continue in some states of North West India for the next two days. However, heatwave conditions are going to persist for the next five days in East India, Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh.

The maximum temperature in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh has been recorded between 42-44 degree Celsius. At the same time, the maximum temperature in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat was between 40-42 degree Celsius. The highest temperature in Orai district of western Uttar Pradesh was 45.2 degree Celsius. At the same time, heavy rains occurred in Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala, Mahe, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Konkan, Goa.
The Meteorological Department has given an update regarding the monsoon that in the next three to four days it is going to knock in the rest of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Telangana, remaining areas of coastal Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, southern Odisha etc.
