IMD Cyclone Alert, Remal Cyclone: Cyclonic storm Remal is going to make landfall after a few hours. The Meteorological Department has said that cyclonic storm Remal will enter the coasts of West Bengal and Bangladesh on the night of 26 May. It can reach a speed of up to 135 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of extremely heavy rain in the coastal districts of West Bengal and North Odisha on May 26-27. In view of cyclone ‘Remal’, flight operations at Kolkata airport will be suspended for 21 hours from Sunday afternoon.

Heatwave conditions were also seen in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Delhi Vidarbha, Haryana, Chandigarh etc. The highest temperature reached 49 degrees Celsius in Phalodi in western Rajasthan.
