The Meteorological Department has said that a period of thunderstorms and heavy rains is going to come in Central India on 26 and 27 February. Apart from this, due to the new Western Disturbance, rain and snowfall will continue in the hilly states of North India for the next seven days.

Talking about the weather in the last 24 hours, hailstorm has fallen in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. Whereas, light to moderate rain has been recorded in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, snowfall also occurred. At the same time, rainfall has also been recorded in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

The Meteorological Department has said that a new Western Disturbance is going to hit the hilly states, which will cause heavy rains. There will be rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan regions from February 24 to March 1. Out of this, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will see rain and snowfall on 26 and 27 February. At the same time, storm and lightning activities may also occur. Apart from this, Arunachal Pradesh will also receive rain and thunderstorm for the next six to seven days. There is an alert of light to moderate rain in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on 24 and 25 February.

At the same time, it is going to rain in East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha on 25th February, Chhattisgarh on 24th and 25th February, Telangana on 25th and 26th February and Central Maharashtra on 26th February. Apart from this, hail warning has been issued in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Jharkhand on 26 and 27 February and in Chhattisgarh on 26 February. There will be no major change in the minimum temperature in the next 24 hours in the states of North-West India and Central India. However, after that the minimum temperature may increase by two to three degrees Celsius.
