This rain for two days is happening due to Western Disturbance. The Meteorological Department said, “Due to Western Disturbance, light rain/snowfall will occur in the western Himalayan regions and the plains of North India like Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Western Uttar Pradesh will also receive light rain on 8 and 9 December. Apart from this, a low pressure area is formed in the Bay of Bengal, due to which heavy rain is going to occur in South India between 10-13 December.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh will receive rain on December 8, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh on December 8 and 9, Western Uttar Pradesh on December 9, Uttarakhand on December 9 and 10. At the same time, in South India, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will receive light to moderate rain on December 10-13, while there is an alert of heavy to very heavy rain on December 11 and 12. At the same time, a heavy rain warning has been issued for coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema on December 11 and 12. At the same time, there is a rain alert for Kerala, Mahe and South Interior Karnataka on December 12 and 13. There will be heavy rain in coastal Karnataka areas on December 13. Fishermen have been asked not to go to the Bay of Bengal during this period.
Talking about North India, the Meteorological Department has said that there will be no major change in the temperature for the next two days. After that the minimum temperature will fall by two to three degrees Celsius. At the same time, there will be no change in Central India in the next 24 hours and then it will fall by two to three degrees Celsius. Talking about the weather of Eastern India, the minimum temperature will increase by two to three degrees Celsius in the next two days. At the same time, it will then fall by two to four degrees Celsius. In Western India too, the minimum temperature is going to decrease by two to four degrees Celsius during the next three days. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be severe cold in Western Rajasthan from 8-14 December, Eastern Rajasthan from 10-14 December, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Western Uttar Pradesh from 11-14 December. During this time, a cold wave warning has also been issued.
