A low pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal

According to the weather agency, a low pressure area is forming over the Bay of Bengal around 11:30 pm. Due to which a low pressure area will be formed in West Central Bay of Bengal, about 620 kilometers south of Orissa, 780 kilometers south of Digha and 900 kilometers south of Khepupara, Bangladesh. Due to this, the weather in Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bangladesh and Orissa may be affected.

In such a situation, a warning of rain has been issued for the entire area of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal during Navami and Vijayadashami of Durga Puja. Due to the intensification of the cyclonic storm, heavy rains have also been predicted in some areas of Maharashtra and other places. An alert has also been issued for light rain in some states including Jharkhand during the next 2 days.

Light to moderate rain is forecast over Andaman Nicobar Islands during the next 24 hours while heavy rain may be seen at one or two places. Moderate rain may affect Tamil Nadu and Kerala while forecast of light rain has been issued over Lakshadweep, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Manipur Mizoram, Kurukshetra in Rajasthan and one or two places in Punjab.

The effect of snowfall on the mountains will be seen in the capital Delhi. There is also a possibility of light drizzle at one or two places till Vijayadashami. There will be a change in the weather due to moderate snowfall in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir including Leh Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and the mountain peaks of Himachal, Uttarakhand.
