IMD Rainfall Update: Amidst the scorching heat, there are chances of rain and hailstorm till April 9, know the weather condition across the country.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed the possibility of heat wave in many parts of India today. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also predicted light to moderate rain and hailstorm in eastern, central and peninsular India till April 9. IMD Rainfall Update: The first week of April has passed and the havoc of heat is now being seen in many parts of the country. The Meteorological Department has also issued a heatwave alert for many states today, April 8. Along with this, there are chances of rain in many states. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed the possibility of heat wave in southern parts of India today. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also predicted light to moderate rain and hailstorm in eastern, central and peninsular India till April 9.

Heat wave will haunt these states

Today i.e. on 8th April, there is a possibility of heat wave in different areas of Rayalaseema, North Interior Karnataka and Telangana. Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in Belagavi, Bidar, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Gadag, Kalaburagi, Haveri, Dharwad, Koppal, Raichur, Yadgiri, Ballari, Chitradurga, Davanagere and Vijayanagar districts of Karnataka.

Rapidly rising temperatures

Let us tell you that in many parts of Telangana and North Tamil Nadu, the temperature will be between 40-42 degrees Celsius in isolated areas of Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada and South West Madhya Pradesh. Yesterday, maximum temperatures ranged between 42-44°C in many parts of Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and isolated parts of north interior Karnataka. The temperature in this area is 2-5 degrees Celsius above normal.

Rain alert in these states

Apart from this, there is also an alert of rain in many states. Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, strong winds and hailstorm are likely over eastern, central and peninsular India till April 09, 2024. According to the Meteorological Department, increased rainfall/storm activity will continue in Northeast India till April 9. Then after this there is a possibility of reduction in intensity.
