IMD Rainfall Update: Heavy rain from Delhi, UP-Bihar to Punjab, know the weather condition across the country

IMD Rainfall Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday predicted that Delhi will receive very heavy rains till July 1. Along with this, it also announced that monsoon has arrived in the national capital. Apart from Delhi, the Meteorological Department has also warned of heavy rains in many other states. Weather Update: Heavy rains in entire Delhi-NCR on Friday have brought relief to people from the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has announced that monsoon has arrived in the national capital. As soon as the monsoon arrived, Delhi and surrounding areas have been waterlogged. Water has filled the roads at many places.

Meanwhile, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Delhi-NCR for the next two days. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in Delhi on Saturday and Sunday as well. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert regarding rain.

Apart from Delhi, the Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rains in Sikkim, Assam, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Telangana, Odisha, parts of Telangana and Jharkhand, with heavy rains at some places.

How will the weather in Delhi be today?

The Meteorological Department has predicted that it will remain cloudy throughout the day on Saturday as well. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains with gusty winds at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. The maximum and minimum temperatures may remain 32 and 25 degrees respectively. More or less similar weather will prevail on Sunday as well. Rain is expected every day till July 4, a yellow alert has also been issued for every day. During this time the maximum temperature may come down to 29 degrees.

Heavy rain alert in many districts of UP for the next two days

Monsoon has entered Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in 36 districts of the state for the next two days. According to the Meteorological Department, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Basti, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Barabanki, Mathura, Hathras, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Pilibhit and surrounding areas on Saturday and Sunday. On the other hand, three people died in Fatehpur, two each in Sultanpur, Banda and Mirzapur, and one each in Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur and Prayagraj due to lightning during the rain. Two girls were buried under the debris when a kutcha wall collapsed in Badaun district, one of them died.

Chances of rain in many areas of Bihar

Monsoon has also become active in South-West Bihar. On Friday, light showers occurred in many areas of Bihar and at some places it rained intermittently. However, most of the districts remained sunny, due to which people once again felt the humid heat. According to the update released by the Meteorological Department for Saturday, there is a possibility of good rain in some areas of many districts of the state. Rain with thunder and lightning is forecast in West and East Champaran and some adjoining areas.

Rainfall continues in most parts of Uttarakhand

With the onset of monsoon in Uttarakhand, rainfall continues in most parts. Today, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in Dehradun, Nainital and Bageshwar. At the same time, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in the mountainous regions and heavy rains at some places. According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of heavy showers with thunderstorms in Dehradun, Nainital and surrounding areas today. Also, there may be heavy rain at some places in the mountainous regions.
