Weather Update: The weather of Delhi-NCR is changing, where dense fog is seen in the morning and bright sunshine in the afternoon. On February 3-4, there will be light rain and cold due to western disturbance. The pollution level is ‘very bad’, but rain can bring relief. Take precautions for health

Weather Update: The weather is changing rapidly in Delhi-NCR. There is dense fog in the morning, but the temperature rises due to bright sunshine in the afternoon. However, this heat will not last for long as there is a possibility of light rain on February 3 and 4 due to the effect of Western Disturbance, which will again make people feel cold. Along with this, the level of pollution is also increasing, due to which the air quality has reached the ‘very poor’ category. There may be some relief from the rain but people will have to be cautious for the next few days.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will start clearing from February 5 and the day temperature will gradually increase. In such a situation, in view of the changing weather, wear warm clothes, wear a mask and take special care of health.

Cold morning with dense fog

Delhi has been experiencing dense fog in the morning for the past few days, reducing visibility and affecting traffic. Dense fog was also seen in the capital and surrounding areas on January 31. According to the Meteorological Department, light fog will persist in the morning for the next few days, but as the day progresses, the sun will start shining.

Possibility of rain, drop in temperature

According to the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance will be active from February 1, the effect of which will be seen on February 3 and 4. During this time, there is a possibility of light rain and thunderstorm in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon and Faridabad.

Weather will change due to the effect of rain

February 3: Light rain and partly cloudy

February 4: Rain and drop in maximum temperature

February 5: Cold winds and mild cold

From February 6: Weather clear, temperature rises again

Due to the rain, the maximum temperature may drop from 27°C to 21-22°C, which will cause a slight feeling of cold. However, this change will not last long, and the temperature will start increasing again after February 6.

Bad condition of pollution in Delhi

Pollution is continuously increasing in Delhi and the air quality has reached a very poor level. On January 31, Delhi’s average AQI was recorded at 350, which falls in the ‘very poor’ category.

51-100: Satisfactory

101-200: Moderate

Due to pollution, people may face problems like respiratory problems, eye irritation and sore throat. According to experts, the rain on February 3 and 4 may reduce the pollution level, which will improve the air quality.
