IMD Update: Heavy rains likely in many states including Delhi-UP between July 30 and August 1, IMD alert

Weather Update: On one hand, heavy rains have created havoc in many states, while the Meteorological Department has predicted that the situation may worsen. On Sunday, IMD has issued an orange alert for many states and said that there is a possibility of heavy rain there. Here in the hilly states, many villages have been destroyed due to rain and landslides and many highways are also closed.

New Delhi: Heavy rains are continuing across the country. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains for many states in the coming days. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for July 31 regarding the possibility of heavy rains in different parts of Delhi, Jharkhand, Western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Apart from this, very heavy rains are expected in Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura between July 30 and August 1. According to the information given by the IMD, there are also effects of heavy rains in eastern Rajasthan between 28 and 29 July.

Orange alert in these states too

Meanwhile, an orange alert has been issued regarding rain till August 1 in many areas of Central Konkan, Goa and Maharashtra. Heavy rain warning has been issued on July 29 in many areas of Gujarat including Saurashtra and Kutch. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for Tuesday and Wednesday in the capital Delhi.

Rainfall causes havoc in the mountains

Heavy rains have become a disaster in the hill states, where many villages have been affected by floods and landslides. Hundreds of houses have been destroyed in many villages, due to which people had to evacuate them. Here, many routes including Manali-Leh, Kedarnath Highway, Badrinath Highway were blocked due to landslides and people were stuck in the jam for hours.
