IMD Update: Rain warning again in Delhi today, mercury likely to cross 40 this week

The maximum temperature at Delhi’s Standard Observatory Safdarjung was 39.8 degrees and the minimum was 25.8 degrees Celsius. Najafgarh was the hottest during the day. The maximum temperature here was 41.2 degrees Celsius. The night was very hot in the Sports Complex area. The minimum temperature here was 30.5 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be drizzle in isolated areas on Monday. At the same time, now the temperature of Delhi will gradually increase. By May 17, the maximum temperature can reach 42 degrees. On the other hand, due to increase in dust particles, AQI remained 183.

Greater Noida’s air reaches poor category

The AQI of Greater Noida was recorded in the poor category on Sunday. Noida was in the moderate category. At the same time, since the rain two days ago, the maximum temperature is less than 40 degrees Celsius. Greater Noida’s AQI was recorded at 237. Noida’s was 175. This week the AQI of both cities is expected to be around 200. At the same time, the maximum temperature of Noida was recorded at 39 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was 26 degrees Celsius. There has been slight respite from the heat after the rain two days ago. The heat will increase further this week. The maximum temperature can reach 42-43 degrees Celsius.

Let us tell you, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered “good”, between 51 and 100 “satisfactory”, between 101 and 200 “moderate”, between 201 and 300 “poor”, between 301 and 400 “very”. “Poor” and between 401 and 500 are considered “Severe”.
