IMD Weather: Heavy rain in 17 states till September 27, know the forecast for your state

IMD Weather Today: Widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and squall is likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya and Bihar. Scattered rain and storm are expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Telangana and Karnataka.

IMD Alert, Weather Update Today: Continuous changes are being seen in the weather. Today, with the heavy rain in Delhi, the people of Delhi have got relief. Amidst 27 degrees Celsius, sudden strong thunderstorms and heavy rain along with clouds have made the weather pleasant. In some cases, the presence of dark clouds and afternoon rain and strong winds have brought relief from the sultry weather. Patchy rain has been seen in East Delhi Shahdara, North East Delhi and South Delhi. The minimum temperature of the city was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was reported to be 36 degrees Celsius.

Significant changes in the weather are also being seen in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. The effect of changing weather in Chhattisgarh is going to continue for the time being. A warning of moderate rain has been issued in Chhattisgarh for a week. Apart from this, heavy rain has also been predicted in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas of Telangana today. Yellow alert has been issued for this.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, heavy rain is being seen today in Bihar, Jharkhand, UP, Himalaya, West Bengal. The weather remains pleasant due to heavy rains in Patna, Bihar. Sikkim and North-East India will also see heavy rains. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh also.

Rain in Himachal Uttarakhand also

The changing weather conditions are continuing in Himachal too. Heavy rain is being seen in many parts. The rain is going to continue in 10 areas for the next 6 days. The weather will remain clear in some parts of the state from 26 to 29 September. At the same time, periods of rain will be seen in some parts. It has been raining in Solan district since morning while in Bilaspur district also the weather has remained pleasant due to rain.

At present, relief is being seen in the weather due to rain in Uttarakhand also. A warning has also been issued regarding hailstorm. Alert has been issued in 7 districts including Dehradun. Situation of landslides along with strong wind can be created. Although the possibility of very heavy rain has been ruled out but moderate rain will be seen in Dehradun, Tehri Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, Pithoragarh Bageshwar district.

Heavy rain in more than 55 districts of Bihar-UP-Bengal and Jharkhand
Warning of heavy rain has been issued in 17 districts of Bihar, while very heavy rain has been predicted in many districts of Jharkhand. The Meteorological Department has clarified in its forecast that monsoon has once again become active in Bihar. Due to which rain will be seen in the next 48 hours. Water logging situation may also arise at many places. Warning of heavy rain has been issued in seven districts.

People have been advised to remain alert by issuing an orange alert. According to the Meteorological Department, yellow alert has been issued in West Champaran, Madhubani, Supaul, Auraiya Kishanganj, Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur, while orange alert for torrential rain has been issued in Sitamarhi, Gopalganj and Patna across East Champaran. Thunderstorm accompanied with thundershowers will be witnessed in Patna. Alert has also been issued in Saran, Samastipur, Vaishali, Darbhanga.

Heavy rain alert has also been issued in more than 25 districts of Bengal and Jharkhand. The Meteorological Department has expected this trend to continue for 7 days. The effect of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal is being seen in the states of Jharkhand, Orissa and Telangana. Apart from this, significant changes are being seen in the weather due to the activity of monsoon. Warning of heavy rain has been issued in more than one district of Uttar Pradesh. Holidays have been declared in schools and colleges. Rain has been seen in Bareilly district since Saturday morning.

Pleasant weather in Punjab and Haryana also

Apart from this, the weather remains pleasant in Punjab and Haryana also. The sky is cloudy while people have got relief due to heavy rain in Ludhiana. The impact of storm and heavy rain will be seen in these areas.

Rain continues in North-East India as well

The Meteorological Department made it clear in its forecast that heavy rains will continue in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram. The impact of thunderstorms and heavy rains including landslides will be seen in these areas for 7 days. Along with this, red alert has been issued in these areas.

Rain in many parts of Maharashtra including Vidarbha for next 3 days

Rain activity is going to continue in many parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai and Vidarbha for the next 3 days. Rain activity may be restricted in some areas. However, due to rain in Nagpur, schools have been closed. The rainy season will continue in Maharashtra till September 25, while a yellow alert of heavy rain has also been issued in 14 districts including Mumbai and Pune. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Chandrapur Gadchiroli Gondia Bhandara Nagpur Amravati Akola Vashi.

Here, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands also. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains have been predicted in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from September 24 to 27. During this period, a warning has been issued regarding thunderstorms and lightning. Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana may also see a drop in temperature with significant changes in the weather.

Heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha

There is a possibility of heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. Along with thunderstorms and lightning, moderate to heavy rain has been predicted in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Some areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan may see thunderstorms along with heavy rains. However, increase in temperature will also be seen in some areas.
