IMD Weather Update: Alert of strong storm and hailstorm with heavy rain till March 21, check the condition of your city.

Rain Alert: There may also be rain in East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during March 17-19. IMD has said that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Odisha and Chhattisgarh on March 19.

IMD Weather Update: The weather patterns in the country are changing. A trough is extending from Odisha to West Bengal and Sikkim. At the same time, the second trough continues from Marathwada to Comorin region at the lower tropospheric level. Due to this, there may be sporadic rain in West Bengal during March 17 to 21. During this period, there is also a possibility of wind blowing at a speed of 40 km per hour. Besides, hailstorm has also been predicted at many places.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said in its latest report that Chhattisgarh may also receive light rain during 17-21st. Apart from this, chances of rain are also forming in Jharkhand, Odisha, Vidarbha and East Madhya Pradesh. There may also be rain in East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during March 17-19. IMD has said that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Odisha and Chhattisgarh on March 19.

Scattered light rainfall is likely over Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during March 17-21. There may also be rain in Kerala on 17 and 18 March. There are chances of rain with thunder and lightning over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during March 17-22.

Maximum temperature

Maximum temperatures are 2-3 degrees Celsius above normal in isolated parts of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal, East Vidarbha, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. It is likely to remain like this for the next 4-5 days.

At the same time, there is a possibility of hot weather in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next 2 days and in Kerala, Mahe and Rayalaseema during the next 5 days. IMD has said that the maximum temperature is likely to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius over central and eastern India during the next 4-5 days. During this period, the maximum temperature in West and North-West India is likely to gradually increase by 2-4 degrees Celsius.

Decrease in minimum temperature in Delhi

The minimum temperature recorded in the national capital Delhi on Saturday was 10.1 degrees Celsius, which is five degrees Celsius less than normal. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 30 degrees Celsius. The weather department has predicted the day to be partly cloudy. According to the department, the humidity was recorded at 70 percent at 8:30 in the morning.
