Rainfall Update: Monsoon rains are occurring in many states of the country. On the weather conditions, IMD scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar said that currently the monsoon is in the active phase. For the northeastern states, heavy rains are expected for the next 2 days, especially in Arunachal Pradesh. There is a strong possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in West Uttar Pradesh from June 30 to July 03, 2024. Apart from this, heavy (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy (115.5-204.4 mm) rainfall may occur at isolated places in Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi till July 03, 2024.
Red alert issued for 2 days
IMD scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar said that monsoon is in active phase in many states. Heavy rain is expected for 2 days for the northeastern states. In view of heavy rains, a red alert has been issued for the next 2 days in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Monsoon is active in most parts of West Rajasthan, Haryana, entire Uttar Pradesh and the remaining part of Himachal Pradesh. In such a situation, monsoon is expected to reach all parts during the next 2-3 days.
Heavy rains will also occur in Assam and Meghalaya
