IMD Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has said in its latest report that during April 11-13, there may be light to moderate rain in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Central Maharashtra.
IMD Weather Update: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has given relief news amid the scorching heat. IMD has issued a warning of heavy snowfall and rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh during the next two days. IMD has issued orange alert for these states. IMD estimates that on April 13 and 14, there may be heavy rain and snowfall at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, IMD has also issued a heatwave alert for Odisha.
The Meteorological Department has said in its latest report that during April 11-13, there may be light to moderate rain in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Central Maharashtra. Apart from this, there are chances of light rain with thunderstorm in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during April 11-13. Lightning has been predicted during this period.
IMD has said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and strong winds at isolated places over Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from April 11-15. At the same time, there may be rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana from 13-15 April, while in Rajasthan from 11-15 April.
Orange alert of snowfall and storm in Himachal
Rain, snowfall and storm are expected in Himachal Pradesh on Friday due to the influence of a fresh active western disturbance. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for the state and has predicted a significant increase in rainfall activity across the state from April 13 to 16. Light to moderate rain and snowfall may occur during this period, with isolated heavy falls over some areas especially Kangra, Kullu, Mandi and Chamba on April 14. Heavy rainfall may remain at peak intensity during these dates, the local population has been urged to remain alert and prepared.
The anticipated rainfall is accompanied by additional weather events that will require attention. Thunderstorm, lightning, hailstorm and strong winds with speed of 40 to 50 km per hour are expected to pose a potential risk to the plains, lower hills and mid-hill districts of the state. ,
The IMD advisory highlights possible impacts such as power disruptions, landslides, rock falls and mudslides, which may cause blockage of roads, highways, bridges and waterways.
