IMD Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, due to Western Disturbance in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds are expected from today i.e. 19th February.

Due to active Western Disturbance in many states of the country including North India, the rainy season is going to start from today. The Meteorological Department has issued red and orange alerts of heavy rain in different parts of the country. Along with this, hailstorm and storm have also been predicted in many states.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of partly cloudy and foggy conditions in the capital Delhi today i.e. Monday (February 19). Along with this, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds on Monday, cloudy sky and rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Apart from this, hailstorm is predicted at different places in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and North Rajasthan during 19 and 20 February. According to the Meteorological Department, this change in the weather is being seen due to western disturbance.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderstorm, lightning and strong winds in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh during February 19-21. Apart from this, there are chances of sporadic thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in Rajasthan during 19 and 20 February and in Eastern Uttar Pradesh during 20-22 February.

IMD says that there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall at different places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit and Himachal Pradesh during February 20. There is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand on 19 and 20 February. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert regarding this.
