IMD Weather Update: There is a possibility of change in weather in Jharkhand including capital Ranchi on Sunday. Heat is increasing in the state. There will be respite from the heat in the coming three days, as a yellow alert has been issued in the state for thunderstorms and lightning in the next three days. During this time the wind speed can be 30 to 40 km per hour or even more. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), due to change in the weather, the maximum temperature may drop by four to five degrees in the next four days.

Hottest day of the season in Ranchi
In the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature of Ranchi increased by more than 2 degrees. The maximum temperature here was 38.5 degrees. This is about four degrees more than normal. This is the highest temperature of this season. In different parts of the state, the maximum temperature is one to four degrees higher and the minimum temperature is one to two degrees higher. Meteorologist Abhishek Anand said that the weather is changing. There has been a warning of thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places in the state including Ranchi during the next three days.
Rain for three days
According to the Meteorological Department, rain has been predicted in Jharkhand for the next three days. Strong winds will blow at a speed of 30-40 kilometers in the state. Yellow alert has been issued regarding rain. After the rain, people can get relief from the heat. It has been estimated that the temperature may drop by 5 degrees.
In view of the increasing heat in the state, the health department is serious about prevention from heat wave. Advisory has already been issued to ensure preparedness in hospitals regarding protection from heat wave. After this, Alok Trivedi, campaign director of National Health Mission, Jharkhand, has directed to run a massive campaign across the state to make people aware about protection from heat wave.
By sending a letter to all the civil surgeons, he has instructed them to disseminate ‘what to do and what not to do’. Also, instructions have been given to ensure compliance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Climate Change and Human Health Program for prevention and treatment of heat-related diseases. Here, the State Home Affairs and Disaster Management Department has also directed for widespread public awareness regarding heat wave prevention in the state. Rakesh Kumar, Deputy Secretary of the department, has sent a letter to all the departments of the state and directed them to create awareness about the measures to be taken to prevent extreme heat and to give wide publicity to them. At the same time, on the instructions of the Health Department, Ranchi Civil Surgeon has started the work of putting up hoardings regarding heat wave protection at various places in the city.
