Cash withdrawal up to Rs 25,000 per day is free of cost for withdrawing money from a non home branch. However, for withdrawals made after this, a fee of Rs 5 will be deducted for every Rs 1000.
After the country’s largest state-run bank State Bank of India (SBI), now new rules are going to be implemented for the customers of ICICI Bank from August 1. SBI has implemented some similar new rules from July 1. ICICI is going to make changes in Check Transaction, ATM Transaction, ATM Interchange Transaction. These rules are going to be applicable to salary and all domestic savings accounts.
The bank has increased the charges for withdrawing money from ATMs and checkbooks. According to the new rules, from August 1, customers will be able to withdraw one lakh rupees per day from their home branch. If more than this is withdrawn, a fee of Rs 5 will be deducted for every Rs 1000. This fee will be minimum 150 rupees.
On the other hand, cash withdrawal of Rs 25,000 per day is free for withdrawal from non-home branch. However, for withdrawals made after this, a fee of Rs 5 will be deducted for every Rs 1000. That is, customers will also have to pay money for third party transactions. The bank has also changed the rules of check book. Now 25 page check book will be available free to customers but additional check book will be charged.
Under the new rules, Rs 20 will be charged for a check book of 10 pages. ATM interchange transactions will also be charged from the customers. The first three ATM transactions will be free within a month at 6 metro locations and five at all other locations will be free.
