The deadline for submitting Income Tax Form 15CA and 15CB to the authorized dealer has been extended. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has taken this decision. As per the Income Tax Act, 1961, both the above forms are required to be filed electronically.
Presently, before giving the copy to the authorized dealer for any foreign remittance, taxpayers have to upload Form 15CA along with Chartered Accountant’s certificate in Form 15CB on the e-filing portal.
In view of the difficulty in electronic filing of Income Tax Form 15CA/15CB on the Income Tax portal www.incometax.gov.in, the CBDT had said that taxpayers should submit Form 15CA/15CB in manual format to an authorized dealer by June 30, 2021. can submit.
Now this date has been extended to July 15, 2021. Thus, taxpayers can now submit both the forms in manual format to the authorized dealer by July 15, 2021. Authorized dealers have been advised to accept both the forms by July 15, 2021. The facility to upload both the forms on the e-filing portal for generating the Document Identification Number (DIN) will be provided later.
