In fact, many times it happens that the claims made for income tax refund of common taxpayers are not heard for months? It may be that due to some technical problems, the department’s attention has not gone to your claim. Experts of income tax law say that people can bring their case to the notice of the authorities.

What you should do?

Chartered accountants and IT lawyers say that the only way to bring the pending claims of your Income Tax Refund to the notice of the department is to inform the Centralized Processing Center (CPC) in writing.

According to Chartered Accountant Soumyadipta Das, in case of failure of Income Tax Refund, the taxpayer can file his service request on the e-filing portal. For this, you have to go to the My Account menu on the department’s website and click on the service request link. Here click on request type as new request and fill the request category as a refund renewal. After this, write the subject and submit it. ”

Can not meet the officer, but do mail

Chartered accountant Tapas Chakraborty says that people should bring the details of their case to the notice through mail and demand immediate resolution. Chakraborty said, “There is nothing more you can do than this. You cannot meet any officer about this. ”

Officials of the Central Board of Direct Taxes told our associate website Money9 that apart from filing the case on the e-filing portal, you can also write to the department through the link (https://bit.ly/2YgCyk3).
