Different Types of LPG Distributors Types of LPG Distributorships
If you are interested in opening a new LPG agency. So, do you know how many types of dealerships there are? If not, Janakari is given below.
Urban Distributor – Under this type of distributor only the urban area will deliver and will be strictly restricted within the municipal limits.
Raravan Distributors – This type of distributor means Grameen + Plus. These types of dealerships are responsible for distribution in urban and rural areas. But, in this case there is a distance limit. Delivery will be made available only in those villages which are within the range of 15 km from the urban area.
Rural Distributor – This type of LPG gas distributor only delivers in rural areas.
Inaccessible Regional Distributors (DKVs) -Distributors under DKV dealerships deliver to highly rural locations, hilly areas, forest areas, islands and mostly sparsely populated areas.
Eligibility and criteria for opening new LPG dealership : –
- Applicant should be an Indian citizen
- Applicant must pass class 10 examination
- Applicants must be mentally and physically healthy to run this business
- Applicant age should be between 21 to 60 years
- Note – Those who apply under the freedom fighter category do not have to follow this age limit restriction.
- Family members of any oil company employee cannot apply for dealership .
- Applicant needs sufficient land for LPG Godown facility
- LPG godown must be approved by PESO
Urban and Rubber Distributors : –
- The storage capacity of the warehouse should be minimum 8000 kg
- The minimum dimensions of the plot should be 25 * 30 meters.
Rural Distributors :
- The storage capacity of the warehouse should be minimum 5000 kg.
- The minimum dimensions of the plot should be 21 * 26 meters.
- Note – In Shehari, Rabran and Village dealerships, the showroom requires additional land. The minimum size of showroom size is 3 * 4.5 meters.
Inaccessible Regional Distributors :
- Minimum storage capacity should be 3000 kg
- The minimum dimensions of the plot should be 15 * 16 meters.
