Home loan to be given to 4.7 crore customers
India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) has entered into an important deal with housing finance company HDFC (HDFC). Under this, home loan facility will be made available to about 4.7 crore customers of Payment Bank. Keeping in view the need of the customers of the village, the post office has made this partnership.
HDFC issued a statement
HDFC has issued a statement regarding this. The bank will provide loans to customers with the help of its nationwide network of 650 branches and over 1.36 lakh banking access points (post offices), the statement said. According to IPPB Managing Director J Venkataramu, access to loans is essential for financial inclusion, as no bank or financial institution provides home loans to a significant segment of customers.
Customers will be warned
Let us tell you that through this partnership, HDFC’s home loan product is to be taken to the customers. Along with this, they have to give information about this. Especially in the places where there is no expansion of banking facilities, to warn people and to expand the facility of home loan. The company said that IPPB will offer home loans through around 1,90,000 banking service providers- postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks.
250,000 people have got the benefit of PM housing
According to HDFC Managing Director Renu Sood Karnad, customers will also get the benefit of PM Awas Yojana. More than 250,000 beneficiaries of HDFC have got its benefit so far. He further said that these beneficiaries have received Rs 43,000 crore of reimbursement and subsidy of Rs 5,800 crore till June 30.
