India UAE Travel: Emirates airline to start flights to India from June 23

UAE air service provider Emirates Airline has decided to resume its passenger flights suspended from India in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the South Asian country.




Dubai: UAE air service provider Emirates Airline has decided to resume its passenger flights suspended from India in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the South Asian country. Emirates airline will resume flights connecting India to Dubai from June 23. News agency ANI has given this information quoting the report of Gulf News of Dubai. Apart from India, Emirates airline is also going to start its passenger flights to South Africa and Nigeria from June 23.

Let us tell you that the Dubai-based airline had announced the suspension on 24 April as a devastating second wave of the pandemic in India. After this the suspension of passenger flights was extended till June 30. In a statement issued, the airline said that it will follow the guidelines announced by Dubai’s Supreme Committee on Crisis and Disaster Management regarding travel to these countries. The rules vary from country to country and include PCR testing and taking a UAE-approved COVID-19 vaccine.

In respect of travelers to India, only travelers with a valid residence visa and who have received two doses of vaccine approved by the UAE are allowed to travel to Dubai. The latest protocol announced by Dubai’s Supreme Committee on Crisis and Disaster Management to allow Emirates South Africa, Nigeria and India to safely resume its passenger flight to Dubai said an airline representative on Saturday. and welcomes the measures.

The statement further said, “The airline will resume carrying passengers from South Africa, Nigeria and India in accordance with these protocols from June 23.” The airline said that we thank the Apex Committee for their continued efforts in monitoring the development of the situation and for announcing appropriate guidelines and protocols for the safety of the community. Let us tell you that till now UAE citizens, UAE Golden Visa holders and members of diplomatic missions who follow the revised published Kovid-19 protocol were exempted to travel.
