India will be the only major country in the world with double-digit GDP growth this year: IMF

Due to Corona, the Indian economy is projected to decline by 8 to 10 percent in the financial year 2020-21, due to which this growth will be a relief this year. 




In the year 2021, there can be a tremendous growth of 11.5 per cent in India’s GDP. India can be the only major country in the world to achieve double-digit growth rate. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has made this estimate. Significantly, due to Corona, the Indian economy is projected to decline by 8 to 10 percent in the financial year 2020-21, due to which this year will be a relief.

The IMF estimates that in the year 2020, the Indian economy may decline by 8 percent.

How much will increase in China 

The IMF said that in the year 2021, after India, China, Spain and France will have good growth, whose GDP growth rates can be 8.1 percent, 5.9 percent and 5.5 percent respectively.

The International Monetary Fund has increased India’s GDP growth estimate by 2.7 percent. The International Monetary Fund said, “This gain will be achieved after the lockdown due to better improvement than expected”.

Concern over growing inequality 

The head of the International Monetary Fund, Kristelin Jarjeva, expressed concern over the growing abnormality caused by the Kovid-19 epidemic and said that sustainable and balanced revival, whether it is a company or government or central bank, needs all the help.

Addressing the ‘online’ Davos Agenda Summit of the World Economic Forum, he said that the IMF has forecast a global growth rate of 5.5 per cent for 2021, which is higher than earlier estimates. The IMF chief has also called for taking steps to help the countries falling in the category of low income group.
