Indian Navy SSC Recruitment 2023: Golden opportunity for the candidates who wish to serve the country by joining the Indian Navy. Indian Navy has released Short Service Commission (SSC) officer recruitment for 2023.

Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2023: Be it Indian Army or Navy, officer job has always been the first choice of the youth. If you too are dreaming of getting an office in the Navy, then this news is for you. Indian Navy has invited applications from eligible candidates for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer posts at Indian Naval Academy (INS) Ezhimala, Kerala. INS, Ezhimala has started the application process for the course starting from June 2024. These recruitments will be done on a total of 224 posts in various branches of the Indian Navy i.e. Executive, Education and Technical. Interested candidates can apply through the official website of Indian Navy, joinIndiannavy.gov.in. Online application forms will be filled till 29 October 2023.

Indian Navy SSC Recruitment 2023: Notification

Important condition of application

  • The most important condition for becoming an officer in the Indian Navy is that the candidate must be unmarried. Only unmarried male and female candidates can apply for this recruitment.
  • For Executive Branch, candidates who have done BE or B.Tech with minimum 60 percent marks can apply.
  • Whereas for Education branch, one should have M.Sc. with 60 percent marks.
  • BE in Mechanical/ Mechanical/ Marine/ Instrumentation/ Production/ Aeronautical/ Industrial Engineering & Management/ Control Engineering/ Aerospace/ Automobile/ Metallurgy Engineering/ Mechatronics Engineering/ Instrumentation & Control with Automation with minimum 60% marks for Technical Branch OR Must have B.Tech degree.
  • Candidates having valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA (India) and born between 02 July 1999 to 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive) can apply for Pilot Entry.

Age Range

The dream of becoming an officer in the Indian Navy can be fulfilled only by those candidates who were born between 2 July 1999 to 1 January 2005.

NCC Candidates

NCC ‘C’ certificate holders will be given 5% relaxation in cut off marks for shortlisting for SSB subject to fulfilling the following criteria –

(i) Having NCC ‘C’ certificate from Navy/Army/Air Wing with minimum ‘B’ grade.
(ii) Must have served not less than two academic years in the Senior Division of NCC, Naval/Army/Air Wing.
(iii) ‘C’ certificate should not be earlier than 01 June 2021.

Selection Process

Shortlisting of applications will be based on normalized marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of SSB marks. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of SSB marks for all entries as per availability of vacancies and medical clearance.
