Neighboring country Sri Lanka has given a great news to Indian passport holders. The neighboring country has announced visa-free access for residents of many countries, including India. According to the announcement, Indian travelers will soon start getting visa-free access to Sri Lanka.
35 countries will get benefit for 6 months
According to a report by news agency PTI, Sri Lanka has announced visa-free access facility for 35 countries. They include countries like India, America and Britain. This change is going to come into effect from October 1. It is being implemented for 6 months. This change has been approved by the Cabinet of the Sri Lankan government.
Apart from India, travelers from these countries will benefit
The report quoted Sri Lanka’s Tourism Minister Harin Fernando as saying – From October 1, travelers from 35 countries will not need a visa to travel to Sri Lanka. This policy is for six months. The countries whose people are going to get the benefit of this facility include India, America and Britain, apart from China, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Australia, Denmark, Poland, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Indonesia, Russia and Thailand.
Facility also for passport holders of these countries
Passport holders of countries like Malaysia, Japan, France, Canada, Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, Belarus, Iran, Sweden, South Korea, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and New Zealand are also going to get visa-free access to Sri Lanka for 6 months.
Indians do not have to pay visa charges
